Womack leads 2005 Worst Lawyer balloting

Not many people know who Guy Womack is. He's the attorney for Charles Graner, the alleged ringleader of detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison. If you're ever wrongfully accused of capital murder, and this guy is your public defender, start writing your will. Here's part of his opening statement:
"Don't cheerleaders all over America form pyramids six to eight times a year. Is that torture?" Guy Womack, Graner's attorney, said in opening arguments to the 10-member U.S. military jury at the reservist sergeant's court-martial.

The defendant sat stone-faced, banging his head against the table for hiring this hack.
