Net attackers strike major conservative blogs

Hosting Matters, a web service company popular with conservative bloggers, was hit by a denial of service attack Sunday night. In such an attack, malicious hackers flood websites with bogus requests for data, slowing the site's response to a crawl or crashing the server altogether. The end result? Instapundit, Power Line, Truth Laid Bear, and Little Green Footballs were offline sporadically on Sunday. LGF remains out of commission. [Hat-tip: Roger L. Simon]
